This is an ongoing series of experimental videos featuring footage shot with Japanese digital toy cameras (Digital Harinezumi 2 & Exemode SQ28m). These cameras are inexpensive, lightweight and have limited functions and produce video with noticeable flaws—grain, noise, blurriness, uneven colour balance and saturation, exposure problems and light flickers. Why would anyone purposefully use low budget, low quality cameras? I find that they give a look and feel to video that it reminiscent of home-movies, dreams and memories. I have also produced the background music for the videos, either by using existing compositions or by creating new ones specifically for the video.
