1. The Music

BIXIE is the 44th song in my Free Background Music Series. It is a lively piece that is influenced by swing, Latin jazz and electronic music.

Equinox: Short Instrumental for Intros, Outros and Credits (31 seconds)

Here is a new addition to the Free Short Instrumentals series. I finished this 31-second composition on March 20, which is the day of the Spring equinox (Yay, Spring!); hence the title. This song is mainly built from loops, with the piano part being played on a Korg MicroX.  I started with an acoustic guitar base, but went for a jazzier feel with a hint of reggae.

Jazz Intro Music (Track 10)

Here is an upbeat jazz theme that you can use in video intros and outros, credit sequences or short animations. There are eight different versions of this 18-second song. There are eight different arrangements of this jazz instrumental. This is a loop based instrumental (i.e., the music is put together by combining pre-recorded snippets of the individual instruments.)

Free Background Music 23: Chillvolution

Chillvolution is the 23rd song in my free background music series. The song, which makes use of a laid-back jazzy hip hop groove, is relaxing and is suitable use in a large variety of videos. The instruments were played on two different synths: a Korg M50 and a Korg Micro X, a lot of the drum and percussion parts, however, are from loops. It was recorded and mixed using Sonar Home Studio with some mastering work done in Magix Audio Cleaning Lab. The music is influenced by the songs of Money Mark.

Free Background Music 3: Jazz Vamp in D Minor (1:42 & 6:30 versions)

This instrumental is the 3rd song in the Free Background Music series. It is a jazz progression (120 bpm) with a walking bass line, gentle drums and congas, a sparse piano and simple guitar chords. The 16 bar progression repeats three times in the short version and nine times in the long version.
